Photo Friday: Happiness is . . .
. . . seeing the Statue of Liberty!
We are back from New York and Philadelphia and had a great trip. For the next week or two this blog may need to be renamed the "I Love New York and Pennsylvania" blog. I will share a few of the many pictures we took as we travelled to the biggest cities we have ever visited.
One of the things I really looked forward to seeing was the Statue of Liberty. We saw her from the Staten Island Ferry which is a free ride across the New York harbor. The ferry is part of the New York mass transit system which I thought was nice. The price was right and the view was amazing!

Toad Revisited
If you remember our toad who lived in the flower pot last month here is another picture of him. The plant has died, but our friend is still enjoying his home in the dirt. He likes to tunnel down into the dirt so we keep it watered for him so it doesn't get too dry and sandy for tunneling. My daughter named him "Stephen Hopkins" after one of the original pilgrims whom my husband's family is descended from.

Philadelphia and New York City
Our family is leaving beautiful, but hot Florida for a week and heading to the big city of Philadelphia and New York City. My kids have never been to either city. I was in Philly about 40 years ago and my husband was in NYC about 35 years ago. We have been studying all the things we want to see and do. It will be so different from our medium size town in Florida. Please be praying for our safety and for good weather too. This picture was taken a few years ago when we took a trip to New England and flew right over Manahattan. Next week we will get a little closer look at the Big Apple!

Tropical Storm Alberto
We are waiting for Tropical Storm Alberto arrive in Florida. We are getting a few days of rain and some wind in our area. Our Boy Scout troop left for summer camp yesterday and are at a camp in Ocala. Here is a picture of the tents the boys are staying in this week. I hope they will be able to stay dry with Alberto going through the state.
